A Non-Commercial Creative Commons copyrighted modest guide, illustrated with stills from Wikimedia Commons, with films ranging from 1933's Little Women to 2013's The Book Thief that are largely of teen interest.  Most of the films are G or PG, more recent titles PG-13, and a handful rated R, aimed at older teens.  The aim was to focus more on the less-prurient stories that are over-produced, and more on human stories that don't require CGI or explosions to entertain. The PG-13 and R-rated...

PD Short Stories February 2018 In this romance-heavy issue, there is August Strindberg's take on why young people should think before they marry.  Two different love stories from Edna Ferber -- young adults in the city and a recent retiree regretting his choices.  Sax Rohmer shows to what extent a man will go to keep his wife in line.  James McKay's Victorian-era hero gets into a restrictive marriage of convenience, and Grace E. King's heroine prepares for getting hitched, Louisiana-style.
Topics: romance, love, marriage, August Strindberg, Edna Ferber, Sax Rohmer, Grace E. King, Mark Twain,...

A short story by Mary E. Wilkins Freeman, originally intended for LibriVox, but I deemed it technically imperfect because I was sitting too close to the mic and it picked up too many sibilant sounds.  :(  Still, it's a good story about young love in late 19th Century America.
Topics: Romance, courting, nosy parents, Mary Wilkins Freeman, 19th Century, Americana, public domain
